Review by hotel critic
During my recent weekend getaway with friends to Segovia, we had the pleasure of staying at the Palacio San Facundo, a charming 16th-century palace that marries historical elegance with modern comforts. Nestled in one of the quietest squares of the old town, it provided an ideal base for my photography excursions to the stunning aqueduct and cathedral, only a short stroll away. Our spacious room was a delight, featuring a comfortable double bed and a private bathroom stocked with lovely Tous toiletries-perfect after a day of exploring. The breakfast beneath the large glass dome of the inner courtyard was a highlight, with an array of options that fueled our adventures through this UNESCO World Heritage Site. What made our stay truly memorable were the gracious staff, who went above and beyond to ensure we felt welcomed and well-informed, even guiding us through local attractions and transportation. Despite a few minor hiccups with the air conditioning, the atmosphere was cozy enough to counteract any discomfort, especially as we enjoyed our evening chats in the charming café-bar. In short, Palacio San Facundo is not just a hotel; it's an experience steeped in history, making it a highly recommended choice for anyone wanting to embrace the essence of Segovia. I would gladly return, perhaps with my camera gear in tow for even more adventures amidst its enchanting landscapes.
